So who is Garaoke?

Garaoke is a guy who's passion is music! Music has been a huge part of his life ever since he was a youngster. Let me tell you the story of how Garaoke Entertainment came to be...

Once upon a "disco age" time in a land far, far away, in a tiny, tiny town, there lived a young energetic entrepreneur. Just out of school and loving the night life he decided to venture out and create a disco show for the local townsfolk. With lighting systems made of coffee cans, basketballs and broken mirrors, electrical tape, and lamp wire, and homemade speakers for sound, he became quite the hit of the land! People came from miles around to get down and funky to his cool beat!

The lad grew into a happy man who would sing to himself and was perfectly content with his "solo" singing life. One night he was dragged to a karaoke bar by his wife and evil friends. His wife and evil friends forced him to get up and sing songs for their amusement! After that terrible torturous night, when he thought those two songs would never end, he went to another karaoke dungeon (I mean "bar"). He had a clever idea and thought he would beat his wife and friends to the punch and choose his own songs to sing. What an ingenious plan it was! He sang one song, then another, then another, and the rest was, well, you know how it goes. Once a person catches "the bug" it's hard to get the mic away!

Okay, so that was an embellished version of how Garaoke Entertainment got started but it was really very close to the truth. All was true except the part about his wife's "evil friends", they were actually quite nice!

Long before karaoke became popular, back in the time of disco, Gary did build a crude system and went to the small town bars and performed. It actually was quite a hit since there was nothing of its kind anywhere near!

A couple years later he started singing and performing in a small band and loved the excitement and "stardom" that went with it!

Years later when Karaoke came along it was a long time before that "first night" that he got up and sang. It took a few more times but after a while it was the "thing" to do when he and his wife and friends would go out for an evening.

As time went on Gary started collecting karaoke music and would once again put on parties and friends always asked him why he wasn't doing it professionally. At that time Gary had a full time job and was on the road a lot and just didn't have the time to become a professional DJ.

Gary finally decided to make a change in his life and thought long and hard about what he wanted to do. The choice was actually quite obvious when he thought about where his passion was, and as they say, "the rest was history"; Garaoke Entertainment was born!

My goal with Garaoke Entertainment is to provide the best possible
professional entertainment experience for a reasonable price! Gone are my days of coffee can lights, basketball disco balls, and homemade speakers!
