Sound Choice and Chartbuster are the two most popular and highest quality brands of Karaoke I own. I usually tell singers if there is a choice of brands to choose from when selecting a song to sing, choose SC first or CB second. All other brands are usually okay, but those are my personal favorites.

EXCITING NEWS: Chartbuster has come out with a system that allows a KJ to own the ENTIRE Chartbuster library and UNLOCK only specific songs that he or she may need. That way if a song the singer wants to sing isn't in the KJ's library, chances are Chartbuster has it (they are usually one of the first brands to come out with Karaoke versions of songs) and the KJ has the ability to unlock/puchase it right away for just a few bucks! That way the KJ doesn't have to spend twenty to thirty dollars for a cd that has several duplicates of what they already own. I'm hoping to get that system in the not too distant future so stay tuned!

Use the "Song Search box" below to locate Garaoke songs. (This list is updated about twice a year) You can find both DJ music and Karaoke music using the built in DJ or Karaoke "Filter".

After you locate songs you like, you can add them to a play list for an event. An event can be a party that you are hosting or a party that you are attending as a guest. An event can also be a regularly scheduled Karaoke gig. A song you select can either be a DJ selection or a Karaoke song you want to sing.

Following are instructions for adding Karaoke selections to a list but adding DJ selections would be very similar with the exception of using the DJ filter instead of the Karaoke filter.

Example: Fred Johnson wants to turn in a list of Karaoke songs that he would like to sing at Joe's Bar & Grill on September 14th, 2010 at the regularly scheduled Karaoke night at Joe's. Rather than waste time looking through the song book at the gig that night, he will use the Song Search to compile his list ahead of time.

First Fred will click the "Search" button in the Song Search box.

This will bring up the following screen where he will open the drop down menu in "Filter" and select Karaoke.

When he chooses the Karaoke filter it will bring up the following screen. This is where he will select the Karaoke songs he wants to sing at Joe's. He can choose to search for a particular song by Artist or by Title, or he can look through the entire song book page by page, or he can use the alphabet and choose by letter and then go page by page. There are several ways he can search. When he finds a song he wants, he clicks the GREEN add button which will add that song to his list and then he can continue to search for more if he wants.

After Fred has chosen his songs by adding them all he can then Print his list, Save his list, or Submit his list to Garaoke. Printing will do just that. He can have a hard copy to bring with him to the Karaoke gig at Joe's. Saving his list is recommended and will allow him to come back to it to edit or add to it before submitting it. After he knows his list is ready, he would submit it so that Garaoke can add his requested songs to the Karaoke program so it will be ready for Fred when he gets to Joe's Bar & Grill.

The screen below shows what comes up when Fred clicked "Save My List". He enters his name, the date of the Karaoke gig, and his email address. USE REAL INFO AS THIS WILL ALLOW YOU BACK IN AT A LATER DATE! After he enters his info he clicks "Save Request List".

The screen below shows what comes up when Fred clicked "Submit My List". Again he needs to enter VALID info for Name, Email Address, Phone, and Event Location. He enters Other in the Event Type field and then on the next line he types in Karaoke in the Please Specify field. For number of guests Fred enters 1. Once again, the Date is VERY IMPORTANT! Event Time, on the other hand, is not important so he just enters a random time. When he is done, he clicks Submit Information.
